Library Rules

  • While we are aware that there are certain topics not covered fully, please resist the temptation to simply place your own works on the shelves. If you have something of value to add, please follow our peer-review process for adding new books and research. [ Please don’t edit the wiki pages without GM approval/instruction ].
  • While we appreciate the desire to clean up after yourself, please leave the task of re-shelving the books to the staff golems. It is counterproductive to recover ancient knowledge simply to lose it in our own halls. [ If you do add anything, please keep it encyclopedic in nature; the exception to this is game fiction, which belongs in the “fiction” section of the library. In any case, new entries must be written from an “in-setting” perspective ]
  • Please use appropriate voice levels at all times, and do not disturb those who are working on sensitive research with unnecessary conversation. We all remember what happened when Kendris Twelve-Fingers got distracted in the Ancient Religions section, and strongly suggest that anyone else wishing to avoid spontaneous mutation avoid doing the same. [Out-of-game discussions between characters are encouraged, but belong in the forums._ ]
  • If you happen to find any texts accidentally left out that have been branded as “forbidden” by the city elders, please do not read (or even touch) them, and instead notify the Head Librarian immediately. Failure to comply with this rule will lead to immediate revocation of your library card as well as execution in the city square. [ If I do something stupid and you happen to find something that is obviously “GM Only,” please let me know ASAP, and don’t read it ]
